Introducing Our First ₿app Integration: Swap Powered by Satsuma

For the first time inside Tanari, a ₿app integration is live.

Swap, powered by Satsuma, is now running in the test version of the app, and even though this is only the beginning, it represents something much bigger than a single feature release.

The new version is currently available to our beta users and we are rolling out this new feature to the public version of Tanari app in the next few days.

From the start, Tanari wasn’t designed to be just another Bitcoin wallet. Our goal has always been to create a Bitcoin financial platform where payments, swaps, stability, lending, savings and more exist in one simple and secure place. Built on top of Citrea, the first ZK rollup that brings programmability to Bitcoin while inheriting Bitcoin’s security, Tanari is able to support integrations like this in a clean, scalable way.

This integration is the first real step toward that vision becoming reality.

Why Satsuma, and why this integration matters

Most swap experiences in the Bitcoin ecosystem today feel fragmented: multiple signatures, browser extensions, unfamiliar interfaces, and a series of trust assumptions that most people don’t fully understand. For new users, this creates hesitation; for experienced users, unnecessary friction; and for Bitcoin adoption, it sets a ceiling on how far the technology can go.

Satsuma approaches swaps in a way that aligns closely with how we want Tanari to feel. Their engine is fast, transparent, and Bitcoin-native, designed to keep users in control while simplifying the complexity underneath. And because Tanari is built on Citrea, integrating modern Bitcoin-native applications becomes far more seamless, allowing us to bring powerful functionality directly into the user experience without compromising security or simplicity.

By integrating directly with Satsuma, Tanari allows swaps to happen inside one coherent flow without pushing people into additional apps or steps, and without asking them to trust mechanisms they can’t see.

This shows the direction Tanari is moving in: feature by feature, integration by integration, creating a cohesive system where different parts of the Bitcoin experience finally work together instead of living in separate silos.

Why it’s available in the test version

A natural question is why this integration is running exclusively in the test version, rather than being introduced at mainnet launch? The answer is simple: responsible systems are built carefully, not quickly.

Swap needs time in a controlled environment where we can test it and ensure its reliability without putting anyone’s Bitcoin at risk. Pushing a feature to mainnet the moment it’s functional may look fast from the outside, but speed is not the goal. Safety always comes first.

A meaningful milestone for the Bitcoin platform we’re building

This integration marks the beginning of Tanari becoming the financial platform we set out to build. It shows how Bitcoin apps can work together seamlessly on Citrea, and how a better experience can emerge when everything lives in one place.

We’re grateful to the Satsuma team for their collaboration and for building an engine that reflects the same principles we value: clarity, control, and simplicity. Swap is the first ₿app connection inside Tanari, and it sets the tone for the integrations that will follow as we continue shaping the platform.

If this is the first step, then the next ones will be even more exciting, and they will bring us closer to the Bitcoin experience we are all working towards to.
